Mano Intrusa, an ongoing series of spontanous actions performed and photographed directly with paintings in The Louvre Museum, Paris and La Galeria de Arte Nacional, Caracas. The mimicking of and additions to the gestures of the painted hands by introducing real ones in the picture frame enhances the strenght of the painted image. The gestures of comforting hands are endearing and add a pictural and warm hearted contemporanity to the selected paintings . They confirm and reinforce the longing of the viewer to become absorbed by the painting. Philippe Braem [by’ro].
